Strawberry Tiramisu

Strawberry Tiramisu

Ingredients (6 servings)

Cream Layer

  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream

  • 8 oz (225 g) mascarpone cheese

  • 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Strawberry Layer

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

  • 2 tbsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Base

  • 20–24 ladyfinger biscuits (savoiardi)

  • 1 cup milk or strawberry juice

Topping

  • cocoa powder

  • fresh strawberries

  • powdered sugar (optional)

Step 1: Prepare the Strawberries

  1. In a bowl combine:

    • sliced strawberries

    • sugar

    • lemon juice

  2. Mix gently and let sit for 10–15 minutes to release juices.


Step 2: Make the Cream

  1. In a large bowl whip heavy cream until soft peaks form.

  2. In another bowl mix:

    • mascarpone cheese

    • sugar

    • vanilla extract.

  3. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until smooth and fluffy.


Step 3: Dip the Ladyfingers

  1. Pour milk or strawberry juice into a shallow dish.

  2. Quickly dip each ladyfinger biscuit for about 1 second (do not soak).


Step 4: Assemble the Layers

  1. Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in a dish.

  2. Spread half of the mascarpone cream on top.

  3. Add a layer of strawberries.

  4. Repeat with another layer of:

    • ladyfingers

    • cream

    • strawberries.


Step 5: Chill

Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight so the dessert sets.


Step 6: Decorate

Before serving:

  • dust cocoa powder on top

  • garnish with fresh strawberries.


Tips for Best Flavor

  • Chill overnight for a more intense flavor.

  • Use very ripe strawberries for natural sweetness.

  • For an adult version, add 2 tbsp strawberry liqueur to the soaking liquid.
