For the beef
400 g flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 teaspoon cornstarch
½ teaspoon black pepper

2 cups broccoli florets
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon grated ginger
For the sauce
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
½ cup beef broth or water
1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water
Step-by-step cooking
Step 1 – Prepare the beef
Slice the beef thinly against the grain. Mix with soy sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper.
Step 2 – Blanch the broccoli
Briefly boil broccoli for about 1 minute, then drain.
Step 3 – Heat the pan
Heat vegetable oil in a wok or skillet over high heat.
Step 4 – Cook the beef
Add the beef and stir-fry quickly until browned. Remove and set aside.
