Crispy Chili Beef & Shrimp Stir-Fry Noodles

Ingredients

Protein

  • 200 g beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced

  • 200 g shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Noodles & Vegetables

  • 250 g egg noodles or wheat noodles

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 small onion, sliced

  • 2 spring onions, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger

Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce or chili paste

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 2 tablespoons water

For Frying

  • Vegetable oil, as needed

Optional Garnish

  • Chili flakes

  • Sesame seeds

Crispy chili beef with Asian sauce and noodles.

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Noodles
    Cook noodles according to package instructions until just tender.
    Drain, rinse briefly with cold water, and set aside.

  2. Season the Proteins
    Toss beef with cornstarch, salt, and pepper.
    Season shrimp lightly with salt and pepper.

  3. Crisp the Beef
    Heat oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
    Fry beef in batches until crispy and browned.
    Remove and set aside.

  4. Cook the Shrimp
    In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed.
    Stir-fry shrimp for 2–3 minutes until pink and just cooked.
    Remove and set aside.

  5. Stir-Fry the Aromatics
    Add garlic and ginger to the pan. Stir briefly until fragrant.
    Add onion and bell pepper, cooking until slightly tender but still crisp.

  6. Combine Everything
    Add cooked noodles to the pan.
    Stir in soy sauce, oyster sauce, chili sauce, sugar, sesame oil, and water.
    Toss well to coat noodles evenly.

  7. Finish the Dish
    Return beef and shrimp to the pan.
    Stir-fry for another 1–2 minutes until everything is heated through and glossy.

  8. Serve
    Garnish with spring onions, chili flakes, or sesame seeds if desired.
    Serve hot.
