
Cajun Shrimp & Steak Delight

Ingredients
Steak

2 beef steaks (ribeye or sirloin, about 200 g each)

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
-
½ teaspoon smoked paprika
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Shrimp
-
250 g shrimp, peeled and deveined
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
Optional Cajun Butter Sauce
-
2 tablespoons butter
-
1 teaspoon lemon juice
-
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
-
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
For Serving (Optional)
-
Rice, mashed potatoes, or grilled vegetables
-
Lemon wedges

Instructions
1. Season the Steak
Pat the steaks dry with paper towels.
Rub with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Let rest at room temperature for 15–20 minutes.
2. Cook the Steak
Heat a heavy skillet or grill pan over high heat.
Sear the steaks for 3–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness) until desired doneness.
Remove from pan and let rest for 5 minutes to retain juices.
3. Cook the Shrimp
In the same pan, lower heat to medium.
Add olive oil and garlic, sauté briefly until fragrant.
Add shrimp and Cajun seasoning. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque.
Remove from heat.
4. Make the Cajun Butter Sauce (Optional)
In a small pan, melt butter over low heat.
Stir in lemon juice, Cajun seasoning, and parsley.
5. Assemble and Serve
Slice the steak against the grain.
Plate with Cajun shrimp and drizzle with Cajun butter sauce if desired.
Serve with your choice of sides.
