- 400 g beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
- 1 cup fresh pineapple (chunks or rings)
- 2 tbsp cooking oil (vegetable or sesame oil)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Teriyaki Sauce:
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar (or honey)
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or lemon juice)
- 1 tbsp garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)

1. Prepare the beef
Slice the beef thinly against the grain for maximum tenderness.
Optional: marinate with 1 tbsp soy sauce and a pinch of black pepper for 10β15 minutes.
2. Caramelize the pineapple
Heat a pan over medium-high heat with a little oil.
Add pineapple and cook until golden and slightly charred on both sides.
Remove and set aside.
3. Cook the beef
In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed.
Stir-fry the beef over high heat for 2β3 minutes until browned.
Avoid overcooking to keep it tender.
Remove and set aside if necessary.
4. Make the sauce
Lower the heat slightly.
Add garlic and ginger, sautΓ© until fragrant.
Pour in soy sauce, brown sugar, oyster sauce, and vinegar.
Stir until the sugar dissolves.
5. Thicken and combine
Add the cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
Return the beef and pineapple to the pan.
Toss everything together until evenly coated.
6. Finish and serve
Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped green onions on top.
Serve immediately over steamed rice.
