Four split open grilled lobster tails topped with garlic herb butter, surrounded by fresh parsley leaves, a grilled lemon, on a white pan

Ingredients

For the Lobster Tails

  • 4 lobster tails (5–6 oz each)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

For the Garlic Butter

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

1.  Prepare the Lobster Tails

Using kitchen shears, cut through the top of each lobster shell lengthwise. Gently pull the meat upward and rest it on top of the shell.

2.  Season the Lobster

Brush the lobster meat with olive oil. Season evenly with salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper if using.

3.  Preheat the Grill

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat (about 375–400°F / 190–205°C).

4.  Make the Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, parsley, lemon zest, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.

5.  Grill the Lobster

Place the lobster tails shell-side down on the grill. Grill for 6–8 minutes, brushing generously with garlic butter, until the meat is opaque and

lightly charred.

6.  Finish and Serve

Remove from the grill and brush with extra garlic butter. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.

Tips

-  Do not flip the lobster tails while grilling

-  Avoid overcooking to keep the meat tender and juicy

-  Serve with grilled vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad
