π Ingredients:
For the ribs:

1.5–2 kg pork ribs (baby back ribs or spare ribs)

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon black pepper
-
1 teaspoon salt
-
1 teaspoon dried thyme or oregano (optional)

½ teaspoon cayenne pepper or chili powder (optional for heat)
For the BBQ sauce (or use your favorite store-bought sauce):

1 cup ketchup

1/3 cup brown sugar
-
2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
-
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (or yellow mustard)

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

½ teaspoon garlic powder

Salt & pepper to taste

Step 1: Prep the ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs (this makes them more tender).

Pat dry with paper towels.

Rub ribs evenly with olive oil, then season with the dry spice mix (paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, thyme, cayenne).
Step 2: Bake low and slow

Preheat oven to 150°C (300°F).

Wrap ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place on a baking tray.

Bake for 2.5–3 hours, until ribs are fork-tender.
Step 3: Make the BBQ sauce

While ribs bake, combine all BBQ sauce ingredients in a saucepan.

Bring to a simmer over medium heat for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally until thickened.
Step 4: Glaze & broil

Remove ribs from foil and brush generously with BBQ sauce.

Broil (grill) in oven at high heat for 5–7 minutes or until caramelized and slightly charred.
