Ingredients (Serves 2)

Fish:

  • 2 white fish fillets (cod, halibut, or sea bass)
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter

Shrimp:

  • 200 g shrimp (peeled & deveined)
  • Salt & pepper

Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 120 ml heavy cream
  • 50 ml chicken or seafood stock
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp parmesan (optional)

Garnish:

  • Fresh herbs (parsley or dill)

1. Cook the fish

  • Pat fish dry and season with salt & pepper
  • Heat olive oil in a pan
  • Sear fish 3–4 minutes per side until golden
  • Add butter and baste briefly
  • Remove and set aside

2. Cook the shrimp

  • In the same pan, add a bit of butter
  • Add shrimp, season lightly
  • Cook 1–2 minutes per side
  • Remove and set aside

3. Make the sauce

  • Melt butter in the pan
  • Add garlic → sauté until fragrant
  • Add paprika, then pour in stock
  • Stir in cream
  • Simmer until slightly thickened
  • Add lemon juice and parmesan (optional)

4. Combine

  • Return shrimp to the sauce
  • Spoon sauce over fish

5. Serve

  • Plate fish
  • Top with shrimp and sauce
  • Garnish with herbs
