Baked Oysters with Garlic Butter & Cheese
Ingredients (Serves 2–3)
8–10 fresh oysters (in shell)
2 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tbsp heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp mozzarella cheese (optional for stretch)
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt & black pepper
Fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
1. Prep oysters
Preheat oven to
220°C / 425°F
Shuck oysters carefully, keep them on half shell
Place on tray (use rock salt to stabilize if needed)
2. Make garlic butter sauce
Mix melted butter + garlic + cream
Add lemon juice, paprika, salt, pepper
3. Assemble
Spoon sauce over each oyster
Top with Parmesan + a bit of mozzarella
4. Bake
Bake for
8–10 minutes
until bubbling
Broil extra
1–2 minutes
for golden top
5. Finish
Sprinkle parsley
Serve immediately with lemon wedges
Pro Tips
Don’t overbake → oysters shrink + become rubbery
Fresh oysters = game changer (no frozen if possible)
Broil step gives that “restaurant crust”
