Officer Miller glanced at the screen, and the color instantly drained from his face.

The video playing on Liam’s cracked phone screen wasn't from the street. It was from inside the pharmacy on Main Street, taken nearly an hour ago while Chloe was waiting in line for Noah's prescription.

Liam had been bored, wandering the aisles with his phone camera on, pretending to film a vlog. But what he had captured in high definition was the exact moment the crime happened.

The screen showed a well-dressed, wealthy-looking white woman in her fifties, wearing expensive sunglasses inside the store. She was standing in the baby aisle. Clear as day, the video showed her checking over her shoulder, grabbing three large cans of expensive baby formula, and quickly shoving them into her oversized designer tote bag.

But the video didn't stop there. It showed the store manager—a tall, frantic man—running down the aisle just seconds after the woman walked away. The manager looked around in a panic, spotting the empty shelf. Then, the camera panned to show the manager looking directly past the wealthy woman, locking eyes entirely on Chloe, who was standing quietly at the pharmacy counter in her faded yellow dress, holding a worn-out diaper bag.

On the video, the manager’s voice rang out clearly: "Hey! You in the yellow! Empty that bag!"

Chloe, confused and terrified, had simply rushed out the door to avoid a confrontation, carrying nothing but her baby and her medical papers.

Liam held the phone higher, his small arms trembling but refusing to lower the device. He stared directly into Officer Miller’s eyes.
