Taco Stuffed Shells


A delicious fusion of Mexican flavors and Italian pasta! These taco-stuffed shells are cheesy, savory, and perfect for a fun family dinner.


๐Ÿ“Œ Ingredients

For the Shells:

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells

  • ½ pound ground beef

  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning

  • ½ cup salsa

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

For the Topping:

  • ½ cup salsa

  • ½ cup shredded Mexican cheese blend (or cheddar)

  • Fresh cilantro, chopped – for garnish (optional)

  • Sour cream, for serving (optional)

  1. Preheat oven:
    Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Cook the shells:
    Boil the jumbo pasta shells according to package instructions. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.

  3. Cook the filling:
    In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
    Add taco seasoning and ½ cup salsa to the beef, stir well, and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
    Stir in ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese until melted. Remove from heat.

  4. Stuff the shells:
    Spoon the beef mixture into each cooked pasta shell. Arrange them in a greased baking dish.

  5. Top and bake:
    Spoon ½ cup salsa over the stuffed shells. Sprinkle with shredded Mexican cheese blend.
    Cover with foil and bake for 15-20 minutes, until heated through and cheese is melted.

  6. Serve:
    Garnish with chopped cilantro and a dollop of sour cream if desired.
