I. INGREDIENTS

πŸ₯© Steak

  • 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks

  • Salt & black pepper

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley


🍀 Garlic Butter Shrimp

  • 400g (14 oz) large shrimp (peeled & deveined)

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • ½ teaspoon paprika

  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

  • Salt & pepper

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley


🍚 Rice

  • 1 cup jasmine or long-grain rice

  • 2 cups water or broth

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • Salt to taste


II. COOKING METHOD

1️⃣ Cook the Rice

  1. Rinse rice until water runs clear.

  2. Bring water/broth to boil.

  3. Add rice, butter, and salt.

  4. Cover and simmer 15 minutes.

  5. Fluff with fork and keep warm.


2️⃣ Cook the Steak

  1. Pat steak dry.

  2. Season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

  3. Heat skillet or grill pan over high heat with olive oil.

  4. Sear 3–4 minutes per side (medium-rare).

  5. Add butter and baste.

  6. Rest 5–7 minutes before serving.

Internal temp guide:
• 130–135°F (54–57°C) = medium-rare
• 140°F (60°C) = medium


3️⃣ Cook Garlic Butter Shrimp

  1. Melt butter in pan over medium-high heat.

  2. Add garlic and cook 20–30 seconds.

  3. Add shrimp in a single layer.

  4. Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink.

  5. Add paprika, chili flakes, lemon juice, parsley.

  6. Remove immediately (don’t overcook).


4️⃣ Plate

  1. Add rice to plate.

  2. Place steak beside it.

  3. Spoon shrimp next to steak.

  4. Drizzle extra garlic butter over everything.

  5. Sprinkle fresh parsley.
