Ingredients (Makes 8 Bombs)

Cheesecake Filling

  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened

  • ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tsp blood orange zest

  • 2 tbsp blood orange juice

Lava Center

  • ½ cup (120 g) blood orange curd (store-bought or homemade)

  • Freeze in small portions for 30–45 minutes

Coating

  • 2 cups vanilla cake crumbs or graham cracker crumbs

  • ¼ cup melted butter

White Chocolate Glaze

  • 6 oz (170 g) white chocolate

  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

Garnish

  • Thin blood orange slices

  • Powdered sugar

  • Edible silver pearls (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Lava Centers

  1. Spoon small mounds of blood orange curd onto a parchment-lined tray.

  2. Freeze for 30–45 minutes until firm.

Step 2: Make the Cheesecake Mixture

  1. Beat cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, blood orange zest, and blood orange juice until smooth.

  2. Chill for 20 minutes to make shaping easier.

Step 3: Assemble the Bombs

  1. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of cheesecake mixture.

  2. Flatten in your palm and place a frozen blood orange curd center inside.

  3. Seal completely and roll into a smooth ball.

  4. Freeze for 20 minutes.

Step 4: Coat

  1. Mix cake crumbs with melted butter until evenly moistened.

  2. Roll each cheesecake ball in the crumbs until fully coated.

Step 5: Decorate

  1. Melt the white chocolate with the heavy cream until smooth.

  2. Drizzle over each cheesecake bomb.

  3. Top with a thin blood orange slice and a sprinkle of powdered sugar.

  4. Add edible silver pearls if desired.

Step 6: Chill & Serve

  1. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

  2. Serve chilled. When cut open, the blood orange center should flow beautifully.
