Hostile suspect. Unruly crowd. It was just me and a group of terrified children. She was intentionally escalating the situation, creating a false narrative to justify whatever violence she was about to commit. The distant wail of sirens immediately pierced the air.

"You're going to jail today," Jenkins sneered at me, pulling a pair of metal handcuffs from her belt. "Let's see how much your little lawyer friend can help you when you're locked up."

"He won't have to."

The voice came from the front porch. It was smooth, commanding, and dripped with absolute authority.

The front door of my house had swung open. Stepping out into the sunlight was my older sister, Olivia Carter. She had just arrived for the party, but she didn't look like she was here for cake. Olivia was a 35-year-old powerhouse, dressed in a sharply tailored deep burgundy blazer and an elegant ivory blouse. She was a senior partner at one of the most ruthless corporate litigation firms in Washington, D.C.

Olivia walked down the porch steps with agonizing slowness. She didn't yell. She didn't panic. She carried a leather-bound legal pad in one hand and her phone in the other.

"Ma'am, stay back! This is an active police scene!" Jenkins barked, swinging the Taser slightly toward Olivia.

Olivia didn't even flinch. She stopped exactly six feet away, looking Jenkins up and down with an expression of profound pity. "Put that toy away, Officer Jenkins, before you cost your city millions of dollars."

"Who the hell are you?" Jenkins demanded, clearly unnerved by Olivia's unbreakable composure.

"I am Olivia Carter. I am this man's legal counsel, and you are currently trespassing on his property," Olivia said, her voice echoing with lethal precision. "I have recorded this entire interaction. I heard you call this a 'welfare party.' I watched you destroy private property. I listened to you file a false police report over your radio."
