Suddenly, the heavy door to the interrogation room was thrown wide open. Sarah, David's daughter—a working-class college student wearing a faded backpack—rushed into the room, her eyes red from crying but her posture resolute.

"Stop threatening my father!" Sarah cried out, pushing past the doorway and running straight to David's side to wrap her arm around his shaking shoulders. "I went back to the market and pulled the memory card from his scooter's dashcam! The camera was running the entire time, and the video clearly shows that woman dropping her own phone on purpose!"

She held a small plastic SD memory card high in her hand.

Sergeant Vickers didn't flinch or show a hint of panic. A slow, malicious smirk spread across his bald face. He casually stepped forward, grabbed Sarah's wrist, and snatched the tiny card right out of her fingers.

Without breaking eye contact with David, Vickers dropped the memory card onto the concrete floor. He raised his heavy combat boot and brought his heel down with all his weight.

CRUNCH!

The plastic casing cracked and shattered into useless gray dust. Vickers ground his boot into the floorboards, obliterating the microchip inside.

"What memory card?" Vickers sneered, reaching out to grab Sarah by her arm and shoving her toward a backup officer standing in the hallway. "Now you're under arrest too—for evidence tampering, trespassing on a police facility, and filing a false report! Lock them both in the holding cell!"

"Vickers! Freeze right where you are! Hands on your head!"

A commanding voice roared from the precinct hallway, instantly shattering the tension inside the interrogation room. Before Sergeant Vickers could react, the heavy oak door was kicked wide open, slamming hard against the wall.

A squad of State Internal Affairs Inspectors alongside heavily armed Tactical Officers flooded into the room, their sidearms raised and pointed straight at Vickers' chest.

Vickers gasped, dropping his hands as his face drained of all color. Cold sweat instantly broke out across his bald head. "Inspectors?! What... what is the meaning of this?! I'm conducting an active felony investigation on two non-compliant suspects who—"

"Save your breath, Vickers! Put your hands up!" the lead Inspector barked, stepping forward with an unyielding glare.

David slowly stood up from the metal chair, comforting his daughter while giving her a gentle, reassuring nod. He reached over to his ride-share helmet sitting on the corner of the table and turned it around. Embedded directly above the visor was a small, high-definition camera lens glowing with a steady blue LED light.

"You crushed a spare memory card, Vickers," David said, his voice calm, steady, and filled with quiet dignity. "My ride-share company equips all drivers with smart helmets that auto-livestream video and audio directly to a secure Cloud server 24/7 for our personal safety against street robberies."

Sarah wiped a tear from her cheek, looking Vickers straight in the eye. "Every single second—from the moment Mark threw a bribe into your jacket pocket at the market, to you threatening my dad with fake charges, destroying evidence under your boot, and trying to steal our home—was broadcast live to the State Internal Affairs Board and our local news network!"

Vickers' knees buckled under the weight of total realization. His mouth hung open, but no words came out as his arrogant world completely collapsed around him.

The lead Inspector stepped up to the trembling, sweaty officer. With a sharp, forceful jerk, he ripped the gold police badge straight off Vickers' uniform jacket, tearing the fabric away.

CLICK-CLACK!

Heavy steel handcuffs snapped tightly around Vickers' thick wrists. The corrupt officer who had spent years bullying the helpless was forced down onto the cold concrete floor, weeping like a coward as his own cuffs were locked behind his back.

Out in the front lobby of the precinct, State Troopers were already snapping handcuffs onto Mark and Tanya. Tanya shrieked hysterically as her luxury designer handbag dropped to the tile floor, while Mark pleaded frantically, trying in vain to offer his fortune to avoid prison. Both were charged with criminal conspiracy, filing a false police report, and attempted extortion.

Ten minutes later, David and Sarah walked out through the front glass doors of the precinct into the bright, warm afternoon sunlight. A large crowd of local market vendors, neighbors, and fellow ride-share drivers had gathered outside, erupting into loud cheers and applause as the father and daughter stepped out free.

Justice had finally caught up to the corrupt badge, proving that truth and dignity could never be bought or crushed.
