Karen continued to writhe on the floor, letting out loud, theatrical groans while looking around the shop. "Is anyone going to help me?!" she sobbed hysterically. "Someone call the police! She assaulted me! I have witnesses!"

The middle-aged customer in simple attire—the man Karen had rudely shoved aside in Part 1—slowly stepped forward. He didn't pull out a phone or panic. Instead, he reached into his jacket's inner pocket and retrieved a heavy, polished metal badge.

"I am Lieutenant Miller from the 4th Police Precinct," the man said calmly, his voice echoing with absolute authority across the silent bakery. "And you can stop the performance right now, ma'am."

Karen's dramatic sob froze in her throat. Her eyes went wide with shock as she stared at the glowing gold badge.

"L-Lieutenant?" Karen stammered, scrambling back an inch on the floor. "You... you have to arrest that cashier! Look at what she did to my face!"

"I’ve been standing less than three feet behind you since you walked in," Lieutenant Miller stated coldly. "I watched you swipe the cake off the counter, scoop frosting onto your own face, and deliberately ram your forehead into the cabinet frame. Furthermore, every single customer standing in line behind me witnessed your entire act."

Before Karen could process her utter failure, a second man sitting at a small bistro table in the corner stood up, adjusting his tailored suit jacket as he walked over to the counter.

"And from a physical evidence standpoint," the suited gentleman added, smiling pleasantly, "that glass display partition is four feet high. Milly is standing over two feet back behind the register. It is physically impossible for her to have reached over the barrier to push your head, let alone throw a fifteen-pound cake at you from that angle. Not to mention, your thumbprints are still clearly pressed into the side of the smashed cake board."

Karen’s face drained of all color. "Who the hell are you to tell me what happened?!"

The man pulled a sleek business card from his pocket and placed it on the counter. "I am the owner of Sweet Ribbon. I happened to be conducting a surprise quality inspection this morning."

Realizing she was caught in a trap of her own making—facing an off-duty police officer, the business owner, and fifteen eyewitnesses—Karen’s victim persona vanished in a flash of sheer panic.

Desperate to escape arrest and public humiliation, she scrambled off the floor and bolted toward the glass front doors.

However, in her wild, frantic rush to flee, the sharp four-inch stiletto heels of her shoes landed squarely in the middle of the crushed, slick buttercream frosting and sponge cake spreading across the tile floor.

SLIP... CRASH!

Both of Karen's legs shot out from under her like a cartoon character on a banana peel. She went airborne for a terrifying second before crashing flat on her back right into the center of the ruined, bright yellow $200 cake.

SPLASH!

Thick, yellow buttercream frosting and crumbled sponge cake exploded across her outfit, completely drenching her hair, clogging her ears, and plastering her fake designer tracksuit in a sticky, sweet mess from head to toe.

Loud cheers, laughter, and applause erupted from the waiting line of customers, many of them finally pulling out their phones to record the ridiculous sight.

Lieutenant Miller stepped over the mess, reached down, and firmly pulled Karen’s sticky, frosting-covered arms behind her back, clicking heavy steel handcuffs onto her wrists.

"You're under arrest for felony property destruction, filing a false police report, and disorderly conduct," Lieutenant Miller informed her sternly.

Crying real tears this time, covered in sticky yellow frosting, and completely humiliated, Karen was escorted out to a waiting police cruiser. On top of her criminal charges, she was hit with a $500 special bio-hazard cleanup fee by the owner.

Meanwhile, the store owner publicly commended Milly for her exceptional professionalism, handing her a $500 cash bonus on the spot and granting her an immediate pay raise—all to the sound of roaring applause from every customer in the bakery.
