On a bustling Saturday morning, the air inside Sweet Ribbon, a high-end artisanal bakery, was filled with the warm, rich aroma of freshly baked croissants and sweet vanilla. Twenty-year-old Milly, a hardworking college student paying her way through school, was politely taking an order from an unassuming, middle-aged man dressed in simple attire at the front of the line.

Suddenly, the entrance door was thrown open. A woman named Karen shoved her way past a dozen waiting customers, barging straight to the front of the queue. She wore a flashy outfit, heavy gold bangles that rattled noisily, and carried a knockoff designer purse. Without a shred of courtesy, she slammed a paper receipt onto the glass display counter right in front of the middle-aged customer.

"Get me my pre-ordered three-tier birthday cake right now!" Karen demanded loudly, her grating voice drowning out the soft ambient music playing overhead. "Hurry up! I'm idling my car in the tow zone!"

Maintaining a professional smile, Milly carefully retrieved a stunning, three-tier marigold-yellow buttercream cake from the commercial refrigerator. Priced at $200, the handcrafted cake was a masterpiece, constructed to match the exact design specs Karen had personally signed off on the week prior.

Karen crossed her arms, leaned over the glass, and narrowed her eyes in exaggerated disgust.

"What on earth is this trash?!" Karen barked, thrusting a long, manicured finger toward the cake. "This yellow is at least five percent darker than the sample picture! And these buttercream petals look completely lopsided! This is outright fraud! Give me a seventy percent discount or hand it over for free, or I will tear this place to the ground!"

Milly kept her voice calm and soft. "Ma'am, the color mix and floral design match the exact specification form you signed last week. Our store policy doesn't allow us to give a massive discount for a custom order that matches the signed agreement."

Karen’s face flushed a blotchy, furious crimson. She slammed both palms heavily onto the glass counter, making the display case rattle.

"You listen to me, you lowly little cashier!" Karen spat, glaring down at Milly with pure arrogance. "You don't get to talk back to me! Get the store owner out here right now! A worthless servant like you has no right to address a customer like me!"

Milly stood tall behind the 1.2-meter glass counter, unbothered by the insults. "The owner isn't in today, ma'am. If you are unsatisfied with the cake, I am authorized to cancel the order and issue a full deposit refund according to store policy."

Realizing she wasn't getting her way or a free cake, Karen's arrogant entitlement exploded into unhinged rage.

"You think you can disrespect me?!" Karen shrieked.

Before anyone could react, Karen reached aggressively across the glass display, grabbed the edge of the heavy cake board, and forcefully swiped the entire three-tier masterpiece off the counter.

CRASH!

The $200 handcrafted cake slammed onto the tiled floor, collapsing into a ruined, chaotic heap of crushed yellow sponge, shattered fondant decorations, and thick buttercream frosting.

Loud gasps erupted from the waiting customers as the entire bakery froze in shock. But the moment the cake splattered across the floor, Karen’s eyes darted frantically around the room. She suddenly realized what she had just done: she had deliberately destroyed expensive store property in full view of a room packed with people.

In a fraction of a second, Karen’s aggressive posture dissolved into a calculated, theatrical performance.

Quickly reaching down to the floor, Karen scooped up a giant handful of yellow frosting and smeared it liberally across her own face, neck, and silk blouse. Then, stepping right up to the counter, she deliberately drove the side of her forehead straight into the sharp metal frame of the glass display cabinet.

THUD!

With a dramatic, theatrical groan, Karen threw herself backward, flopping onto the floor right in the middle of the ruined cake and fake-sobbing hysterically.

"HELP! POLICE! ASSAULT!" Karen bellowed at the top of her lungs, her ear-splitting wails echoing off the bakery walls. "THIS CRAZED CASHIER ATTACKED ME! SHE THREW A HEAVY CAKE DIRECTLY AT MY FACE AND VIOLENTLY SMASHED MY HEAD INTO THE GLASS COUNTER! CALL AN AMBULANCE! ARREST THIS MONSTER RIGHT NOW!"

Behind the high glass counter, Milly stood frozen in utter disbelief at the unhinged performance unfolding before her. Karen lay on the floor, wailing and writhing around, completely convinced that the glass counter blocked everyone's view and that her fake injury would guarantee Milly's arrest and a massive payout from the store.
