Garlic Butter Chicken and Potatoes – Juicy Chicken in Rich Garlic Butter with Golden Roasted Potatoes
Garlic Butter Chicken and Potatoes is a comforting one-pan meal that brings together juicy chicken, tender potatoes, and a rich garlic butter coating. The combination is simple, familiar, and highly appealing because every bite delivers both savory depth and soft texture.
The chicken stays moist inside while developing a golden surface. The potatoes roast until tender with lightly crisp edges, absorbing the garlic butter and herb flavor as they cook.
The finished dish delivers a warm homemade feel, strong visual texture, and a balanced mix of richness and freshness that works well for everyday meals. --------------------------------------------------
Ingredients (Serves 4)
500 g chicken breast or boneless chicken thighs 500 g baby potatoes, halved 4 tablespoons butter 5 cloves garlic, minced 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 teaspoon paprika 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs Salt Black pepper 1 tablespoon chopped parsley 1 teaspoon lemon juice
Step 3 – Sear the chicken Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until golden on both sides and nearly cooked through. Remove and set aside.
Step 4 – Brown the potatoes In the same pan, add the potatoes and cook until the cut sides become golden and lightly crisp. --------------------------------------------------
Step 5 – Make the garlic butter Lower the heat and add butter and minced garlic. Stir gently until the garlic becomes fragrant.
Use chicken thighs for a juicier result. Do not overcrowd the pan or the potatoes will not brown well. Boiling the potatoes first helps them cook faster and develop better color in the pan.
