Ingredients

For the Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz / 170g each)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ยฝ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

For the Shrimp

  • 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • Pinch of salt

For the Creamy Dill Sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream

  • ยฝ cup (120ml) chicken broth

  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • 2 tbsp fresh dill, finely chopped

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Garnish

  • Fresh dill sprigs

  • Lemon wedges

Instructions

Step 1: Season the Salmon

  1. Pat salmon dry with paper towels.

  2. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Step 2: Cook the Salmon

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  2. Place salmon skin-side down.

  3. Cook for 4โ€“5 minutes.

  4. Flip and cook another 3โ€“4 minutes until flaky.

  5. Transfer to a plate.

Step 3: Cook the Shrimp

  1. Melt butter in the same skillet.

  2. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

  3. Add shrimp and cook 1โ€“2 minutes per side.

  4. Remove and set aside.

Step 4: Make the Dill Cream Sauce

  1. Melt butter in the skillet.

  2. Add garlic and sautรฉ for 30 seconds.

  3. Pour in chicken broth and simmer for 2 minutes.

  4. Stir in heavy cream and Dijon mustard.

  5. Add dill and lemon juice.

  6. Simmer 3โ€“5 minutes until slightly thickened.

  7. Season with salt and pepper.

Step 5: Assemble

  1. Arrange salmon fillets on serving plates.

  2. Place shrimp around and on top of the salmon.

  3. Generously spoon the dill cream sauce over everything.

  4. Garnish with fresh dill and lemon wedges.
