π Crispy Orange Chicken (Sticky, Crispy & Addictive)

π§Ύ Ingredients (Serves 2β3)
For the chicken:
- 500g (1 lb) boneless chicken thighs/breast (cut into bite-size pieces)
- Salt & black pepper
- 1 egg
- Β½ cup cornstarch
- ΒΌ cup flour
- Oil for frying
For the orange sauce:
- Β½ cup fresh orange juice
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey or sugar
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1β2 teaspoons chili flakes (optional π₯)
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)
π©βπ³ Instructions

1. Prep & fry chicken
Season chicken with salt and pepper.
Dip into beaten egg β coat with cornstarch + flour.
Deep fry at ~175Β°C (350Β°F) for 4β5 minutes until golden and crispy.
Remove and drain oil.

2. Make the sauce
In a pan, sautΓ© garlic + ginger until fragrant.
Add orange juice, zest, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, chili flakes.
Simmer for 2β3 minutes.
Add cornstarch slurry β cook until thick and glossy.
3. Toss
Add fried chicken into the sauce.
Toss quickly until every piece is coated in that shiny orange glaze πβ¨
4. Garnish & serve
Top with:
- Sesame seeds
- Chopped green onions
Serve immediately over hot rice.
