Shrimp:
- 500 g large shrimp (peeled, deveined, tail on)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Batter:
- 100 g all-purpose flour
- 50 g cornstarch
- 1 egg
- 120 ml cold water
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
Sauce:
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or lemon juice)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
Frying:

Step 1: Prep Shrimp
- Pat shrimp dry.
- Season with salt & pepper.
Step 2: Make Batter
- Mix flour + cornstarch + baking powder.
- Add egg + cold water โ whisk until smooth.

Step 3: Fry Shrimp
- Heat oil to 170โ180ยฐC
- Dip shrimp into batter
- Fry for 2โ3 minutes until golden
- Remove & drain

Step 4: Make Sauce
- In a pan, sautรฉ garlic until fragrant
- Add honey + soy sauce + ketchup + vinegar
- Simmer 1โ2 minutes until slightly thick
Step 5: Toss
