Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 2 lbs (900 g) boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

For the Honey Garlic Glaze

  • ⅓ cup honey

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Garnish

  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

  • Extra glaze for brushing

Instructions

Step 1 – Prepare the Chicken

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes if using wooden skewers.

  2. In a large bowl combine:

    • Chicken pieces

    • Olive oil

    • Salt

    • Black pepper

    • Paprika

    • Garlic powder

  3. Toss until evenly coated.

Step 2 – Make the Glaze

  1. In a saucepan combine:

    • Honey

    • Soy sauce

    • Garlic

    • Brown sugar

    • Ketchup

    • Dijon mustard

    • Apple cider vinegar

  2. Simmer over medium heat for 3–5 minutes.

  3. Stir frequently until slightly thickened.

  4. Remove from heat.

Step 3 – Assemble the Skewers

  1. Thread chicken pieces onto skewers.

  2. Leave a little space between pieces for even cooking.

Step 4 – Grill

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (400°F / 200°C).

  2. Grill skewers for 5–6 minutes per side.

  3. Brush generously with glaze during the last few minutes.

  4. Continue turning until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).

Step 5 – Finish

  1. Brush with remaining glaze immediately after grilling.

  2. Sprinkle with fresh parsley.

  3. Serve hot.

  1. Preheat air fryer to 390°F (200°C).

  2. Arrange skewers in a single layer.

  3. Cook for 10–12 minutes, turning halfway through.

  4. Brush with glaze during the final 3 minutes.
