Creamy Garlic Parmesan Lobster Tail

Ingredients

For the Lobster

  • 2 lobster tails (6–8 oz each)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter, melted

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Creamy Parmesan Sauce

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream

  • ½ cup (50 g) grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

For the Topping

  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Garnish

  • Chopped chives

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • Lemon wedges

Instructions

Step 1 – Prepare the Lobster

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  2. Using kitchen shears, cut the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise.

  3. Carefully loosen the meat and lift it above the shell while keeping it attached at the tail end.

  4. Brush with melted butter.

  5. Season with:

    • Paprika

    • Garlic powder

    • Salt

    • Black pepper

Step 2 – Make the Sauce

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

  2. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

  3. Stir in heavy cream and Dijon mustard.

  4. Simmer for 3–4 minutes.

  5. Add Parmesan cheese and whisk until smooth.

  6. Stir in lemon juice.

  7. Season to taste.

Step 3 – Assemble

  1. Place lobster tails in a baking dish.

  2. Spoon some of the creamy sauce over the lobster meat.

  3. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly on top.

Step 4 – Bake

  1. Bake for 12–15 minutes.

  2. Switch oven to broil during the last 2 minutes.

  3. Broil until the cheese is golden brown and bubbling.

Step 5 – Serve

  1. Spoon remaining sauce onto serving plates.

  2. Place lobster tails on top.

  3. Garnish with chives and basil leaves.

  4. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.
