Thomas felt a lump form in his throat. He reached into his own breast pocket and pulled out the pink unicorn Lily had given him. He held them side by side in his palm, the tiny tokens catching the bright glare of the flashlights.

"Your baby girl sent me," Thomas whispered into the woman's ear, his voice thick with emotion. "Hold on, mama. We're getting you back to her."

They carried her back to the road. Jackson had already hooked a heavy-duty tow strap from his custom trike to the front axle of the stranded station wagon, pulling it out of the ditch so the convoy could move. Thomas mounted a specialized sidecar rig brought by one of the members, securing the unconscious mother safely inside wrapped in layers of heavy leather jackets.

The ride back to the Pine Ridge Diner was a thunderous, defiant race against time.

Inside the diner, Lily sat perfectly still on her stool. She hadn't taken another bite of her sandwich. Her eyes were glued to the front glass doors, her tiny hands gripping the counter. The waitress stood right beside her, resting a comforting hand on her shoulder.

Then, the low, deep rumble of V-twin engines echoed through the walls.

Lily gasped, instantly sliding off the stool. Her small sneakers smacked against the linoleum as she ran toward the door.

The heavy wooden door flew open, letting in a swirl of snow. Thomas stepped inside first, his face covered in frost, but his arms were full. He carried the mother, now wrapped in fresh blankets, her eyes fluttering open, fighting her way back to consciousness.

"Mommy!" Lily shrieked, a sound of pure, unadulterated joy.

Thomas gently lowered the woman onto a long vinyl booth. Lily threw herself into her mother's arms, burying her face into her neck, weeping hysterically. Her mother slowly wrapped her weak, warming arms around her daughter, kissing the top of her head.

"Lily... oh my sweet Lily... I'm so sorry..." the mother whispered, her voice cracked and raw, but full of life.

The entire diner fell into a stunned, emotional silence. The waitress wiped away tears with her apron, and even the hardened, bearded bikers standing by the door shifted uncomfortably, blinking away moisture in their eyes.

Thomas stood back, watching the embrace. He reached into his pocket and placed both the blue and pink unicorn keychains onto the table beside them.

The mother looked up from her daughter, her tear-filled eyes locking onto Thomas. "Thank you," she choked out, her voice trembling with a gratitude too vast for words. "You saved my life."

Thomas offered a soft, humble nod, placing his large hand gently over his leather-bound Bible on the counter.

"A wise book once told me that whenever you do something for the least of these, you do it for Him," Thomas said softly, his paternal smile returning. "You two stay warm. The road ahead is going to be just fine."

He turned back to his stool, picked up his coffee cup, and took a slow, satisfied sip. Outside, the blizzard continued to howl, but inside the diner, the storm had finally passed.
