  • 4 beef steaks (sirloin or chuck steak)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 2 cups beef broth

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)

  • 1 rosemary sprig

For the Mashed Potatoes

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and chopped

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • 1/3 cup warm milk

  • Salt and black pepper to taste

  • Fresh parsley for garnish

For the Garlic Green Beans

  • 2 cups green beans

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Mashed Potatoes

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  2. Add the potatoes and cook for 15–20 minutes until fork tender.

  3. Drain well and mash the potatoes.

  4. Add butter, warm milk, salt, and pepper.

  5. Mix until creamy and smooth.

  6. Set aside and keep warm.

Step 2: Cook the Beef

  1. Pat the steaks dry with paper towels.

  2. Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.

  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  4. Sear the steaks for 3–4 minutes per side until browned.

  5. Remove the steaks and set aside.

Step 3: Make the Gravy

  1. In the same pan, melt butter.

  2. Add sliced onion and cook until soft and caramelized.

  3. Stir in garlic and cook for 30 seconds.

  4. Pour in beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce.

  5. Return the steaks to the pan.

  6. Add rosemary and simmer on low heat for 20–25 minutes.

  7. Mix cornstarch with water and pour into the gravy.

  8. Stir until the sauce becomes glossy and thick.

Step 4: Cook the Green Beans

  1. Heat butter in another skillet.

  2. Add garlic and sauté briefly.

  3. Add green beans and cook for 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp.

  4. Toss in cherry tomatoes.

  5. Season with salt and pepper.

Serving

  1. Place a scoop of mashed potatoes on the plate.

  2. Arrange sliced beef steaks beside the potatoes.

  3. Spoon rich brown gravy over the meat.

  4. Add garlic green beans on the side.

  5. Garnish with fresh rosemary and parsley.
